I am not being judgmental I am really curious. I see so many questions on here about "am i pregnant" and so forth, why don't people use condoms? They are free at planned parenthood!! It's terrible that all these teens are having sex so soon, but why aren't they at least being safe about it? STD's and pregnancy are not a joke. Do they not teach sex-ed anymore?

some schools, including public schools teach abstinence only programs. As a result teen pregnancy rates are skyrocketing. These kids have no real source of information provided to them about birth control. Also I think teenagers have the feeling they are invincible and it "won't happen to me" opinion.

The thing is in High School, most freshmen and sophomores atmy school are required to take, and they think of "health" as leaning about food and nutrition and don't face reality. They think as not using a condom or birth control pill they wont get pregnant anyways. Of course, they think outside of the box when they're being a bunch of idiots. They its fun, enjoying, relaxing, and especially the guys, they don't give a damn if the girls get pregnant. They ditched them afterwards (most cases).

So people actually dont listen to their parents and teachers and just do it anyways. 6th grade they had social hygenie and like they dotn understand none of these stuff yet. For most of us who are worrying about poverty, and these teens. We gotta try a best way to make these adolscences understand the real world.

Money for the child, parenting, high school drop outs, minimum wages etc. These people don't see the reality that's is all I can say.

Maybe they have a latex allergy and can't use a regular condom. You know lamb skin is expensive!!! $17.00 for 3 condoms. Maybe they're embarrassed to buy them. Maybe they don't like them. Maybe they are ignorant. Who cares? Are you having sex with them? No? Then don't worry about it unless it's you or your kid. If you're worried about your own child, I recommend the same talk my parents had with me... You shouldn't have sex, but if you are going to, come to us and we'll get you on birth control and get you some condoms. That however is not giving you permission, don't have it in our house, just be safe. Worked for me. Been on the pill for 12 years (except for the times I was pregnant. I was in my 20's and on my own).
