This is not hyperhydrosis, my wife excessively sweats all over when she excersises or even does the dishes or almost anything else that requires movement. Sometimes even when she is idle in a warm place it will drip off of her. She tells me it runs in her family and I often feel sorry for her because she is uncomfortable. she is not overweight in the slightest and has a normal bmi. If someone knows the answer please let me know.

I think if it is not a symptom of something that is going wrong in the body, that it can just be that she has excessive sweat glands. You can check with the doctor, possibly the dermatologist(?), and see if that is the case. If so, sugery can be done to lessen the amount of sweat glands around the body.

Some people sweat when they exercise. Its okay. It means that her body is working harder than others as it is at a higher temperature. It could be due to her having lower muscle mass, or higher fat mass. As she gets fiter, strengthening her lungs and heart, the sweat will slow down.

She has over-active sweat glands, this happens to a friend of mine - i remember we were on the train on our way to school one morning and she began to sweat so much that it was dripping off her hands almost as if she were running a tap over them.

she needs to go to a doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Has she had her heart checked, maybe there is a valve problem. It could be indicative of so many things, if it's a bother she should see a physician for it.
