I feel understanding and respect. It doesn't matter to me what someone's religion or lack thereof is. I just want them to be a good person.

I don't have emotional relationships with strangers, no matter what their religion.

However, I feel that I am not missing your point. You want to know if I will "tolerate" other religions that I don't agree with.

I do not have any religion, I think they get in the way of a relationship with God. I am born again for 17 years. I am only human, and therefore still capable of imperfection. Only Christ is perfect, and he is our perfect example. We can strive to be like Him. He did not come to the world to condemnn, only to give us a free gift of salvation. Therefore, I do not condem. Only share how God has changed me, made me His own and cleansed me from all sin. I let others know of the free gift. If you want it, it's yours.

I have been sharing this with my own family members over the years who still refuse the gift. Do I love them any less, or show them no compassion? Certainly not. I can only love them and be an example and be available to answer questions. Sure, I have struggles and things in life that I do not agree with. However, my job as a Christian is to love and serve others and be ready when he comes.

Try a non-denominational group that studies the Bible verse-by-verse, NOT topical messages. Find one that does not have heavy membership requirements or monetary focus. Look. Seek. You will find them.

Neither - I feel we're all searching for the same kinds of answers, and generally what religion we do that through is based on factors outside our control (where we live growing up, our family's beliefs, our society, etc). There's nothing compassionate there - but plenty of respect and understanding.

I have compassionate understanding. I either pity them or think that I hope they become a believer someday.
Sometimes I think: Man, when they become a Christian, they're going to have an awesome story!

I'm an atheist. My husband is a deist. We do have debates, but I feel that we have a pretty good sense of compassion and understanding for one another.

Well, as a christian, I have to do what Jesus said. "Love your neighbor as yourself." So, when ever I'm talking to them, and chances are we're talking about religion, I'm gonna be tring to witness to them. I don't do it to make them feel bad and make me feel good, I do it out of love for them because I don't want to end up in Hell.

I feel any religion or no religion is great as long as it makes us better, healthier, happier and more tolerant people.

I pray for those who call themselves my enemy, so they will come to feel God's love and mercy and understand His wisdom.

As I do.
