The problem is the lower level guys, they call me Gay Mariotti behind my back and scoff at my articles. On their bulletin board, they put pervese pictures of me with the help of photosho (I won't get in to it). I feel they are jealous because I am an all time sports writer for the newspaper, and because I am getting a well deserved raise while they are getting layed off. They accuse me of being arrogant because I called them insignificant people when I introduced myself for the very first time. My interns are rude to because I make them do tasks such as get my drycleaning, be my footrest, or pay my parking tickets (all fair tasks in my opinion). How can I get them to stop being rude and chidish to me?

are you being serious?... hmm if so im sorry that you are being treated badly maybe you should have considered the repercussions when you met them. (this can be a learning experience) You cant seriuosly treat your interns like that... if you do you should know that what goes around comes around and you'll likely be sued. If this all is true... I think I wouldn't like you either... you dont paint a very nice picture. But maybe Im wrong... either way if they're being laid off it doesn'y really matter.
There are other ways to the top besides just stepping on those along the way. I hope you sort everything out.

The only thing I can tell you is: Actions say more than words.
You'll still be making money and will have a job while they're gonna be looking for one. And since you're some kind of supervisor. Other places might call you up for their recommendations. Let them be - man, let'em be....
You can't change ignorance. But I'll be better If you change some of your bad @ss boss behavior. Treat them with more respect.
Good luck...

I think you should look at yourself or better yet listen to yourself you may indeed deserve the raise for your hard work but you have no right to belittle other people I think you are the one being rude and they are just reacting to your actions so if you want them to change their ways maybe you should change yours first

I was on your side until you talked about using interns as footrests and having them pay your parking tickets.

Sounds like you started it, I hope they give you hell! But if it gets too bad you can always buy a strong rope and hang yourself! To get them back, do it where they will have to cut you down and haul you off!

you are so full of yourself, get a life
if you want others to like you, do stuffs for them instead of asking them to do that for you
and if you can't stand your "lower level guys" not to like you, you don't deserve a high position in your company
just calling them like that and then come and cry here like a little baby makes me sick

It certainly seems to me that you could have been nicer. You put them down, and they have no respect now for you. It is what you deserve for being a a**
