I think you are either misguided or simply badly advised. And I cannot believe that the Americans have a much more open attitude to oral sex either. Perhaps what you are experiencing is the simple British attitude towards standing on a roof top and shouting out your sexual preferences. We simply don't do it ...... but the Americans .... well there's another story ........

I think that I have heard that oral sex is considered as an illegal act in some states. I don't have any proof to back this up, but I know that I have heard that. It is one of those laws from way way back that just make sense now.
