Actually, they are very cheap compared to what came before. Just like everything else in life, it is all relative.

How often do you have to do this? Is it only in one place? Or are you moving around? If it just once-in-awhile, you might be better off renting one, although the rental rates I have seen make purchasing a better deal in the long run.

If you can visit a store that sells projectors, hook your laptop up to them and try them out. Then you make a decision as to the best price/performace ratio based on your needs.

You need to be aware that the projector lamp has a limited life and a replacement bulb can cost several hundered dollars. Factor that into your decision.

You only required a normal data projector which is quite cheap right now.

Get those with min 1,200 ANSI limens with XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and check those bulb's life (how many hours it can be use?), normally should be min 4000 hours.

they are some good brand out there, EPSON, DELL, PLUS, SANYO for normal data projector
