Signing a birth certificate does not make a person a parent or not signing one mean they are not. . I am sure that a paternity test would solve any issues as to a parenthood. Both parents have a responsibility to that child. There are great rewards in a child but great responsibilites to the parent including physical, psychological, emotional, fianancial and etc. It is sad that so many people do not or are unable to fulfill these obligations for this child.

Sounds something like what i develop into goin by as well the youngster help difficulty.. Cuz once you're making him pay baby help meaning your extra a lot less saying that the youngster is his even regardless of the reality that his call isn't on the beginning certificate and certain he does have some style of rights he might want to take you to court docket and under no circumstances even favor a dna try finished jus cuz he will pay baby help for the youngster and both are accepting the actual undeniable reality that the youngster is the fathers.

I don't believe my children's father sign either of their birth certificates but his name was on them. He could always do a paternity test to find out and get rights to the child. Remember not to put the child in the middle. Good luck

yes they do. Usually if your not married the father can't sign the birth certificate, a different form as to be filled out. Or you have to wait and get the courts to add him on the birth certificate. But, if your married the father can go ahead and sign the birth certificate.

That is a good question because I am helping my brother raise his baby because the mother signed over all rights to her to my brother. She didn't sign the birth certificate as the mother and our lawyer is looking into having my name added as a co-parent. The birth mother said she would not contest the birth certificate if we did have my name added. All she wanted was money to go to California.

I'm in Ontario, Canada, and the father can sign the birth certificate whether or not they are married. He cannot be named as the father, however, if he is not around to sign it.

No. You have to go to court to prove paternity before you have any paternal 'rights'.
