when i got my teeth pulled, they talk to you and they tell you exactally what they are going to do. When they put a mask on you with laughing gas, you dont feel a thing! it is so cool because you are awake, but you dont feel anything! it feels pretty cool!
and when they take a small needle and they numb the tooth and then they just pull it! its so easy! after you leave, you talk with a lisp and its really funny!

I was just like you and well here is my experience on the whole thing......

Just over a week ago i have 6 teeth extracted, 4 of which were wisdom teeth and 2 which were both upper molars (the ortho told me to get them extracted to have more room in my mouth for braces to line up my teeth). Well 2 of my wisdom teeth at the bottom, were impacted and lying down, which ment that the oral surgeon cut my gum to get them out. I was put to sleep so i did not feel a thing and afterwards i promise you i did not feel any pain either, i was amazed as i was super scard as you can read from my previous questions! I did get bad headaches for 2 days but no pain whatsoever in my mouth where the teeth were taken and only swelling on the outside, which ice cream and frozen peas helped with! The only thing i found annoying was the fact i could not brush my teeth or eat anything other then mush! Trust me the extractions are not bad at all, go to an oral surgoen and the will make sure you are sent home with minimum to no pain... As for braces i also got them about 4 days ago and they are no to bad the spacers made my teeth tender and a little sore for the first 2 days but the actual braces where ok!, they feel annoying in your mouth as you are not used to them yet and you can also feel your teeth moving which is also weird! But no real pain!!!

well first off....i had braces twice....the first time they put the braces on when i was too young and took them off to early..the second time they put them on, i had them on for two years and now my teeth are fine....honestly, you shouldnt have any teeth pulled in order to get braces..im not gonna tell you it doesnt hurt...cuz when you first get your braces on...it doesnt hurt HORRIBLY..its just uncomfortable..and your teeth are sore because they are slowly being pulled into position....after a while you get use to having them on and dont even notice they are there....the only time other than when you first get them on that they hurt....is when you get them tightened..but again...the pain is not unbearable...its just not comfy and its sore feeling....they give you this thing to chew on and it works the soreness out of your teeth....and its all better. But anyhoo...you'll be fine honestly...i am the biggest puss when it comes to pain and if i can live through braces...you can live through braces.....lol just relax...you'll be ok.

Once you are numb, you won't believe how easy it is to have these teeth out. Just say, "Please be gentle," and trust your dentist to take it from there.
