He says he loves me and is coming to England to meet me, I like him (at least through how he's been on the phone, in letter and through e-mail), and now I am worried that there may be a skeleton in his cupboard. How do I find out?

the phrase is skeleton in his closet... but I'll let it slide since ur a limey. i'd say DONT DO IT but you prolly wont listen to me. Just ask any friends you have in Scotland Yard, they should be able to run a background check on him.

Before he comes to England, go to his country and stay with him. When he is not looking, sneak a peek in his cupboard. If there are no skeletons, you are on to a winner.

You don't unless you hire a private detective. I personally would not meet anyone in person that I met online. And for him to say he loves you with only online contact, says he's desperate for love and that should tell you a lot.

You cannot, and from my experience anyone who says he loves you when you have not spoken in person should be taken with a pinch of salt.

check if he has a myspace profile. gives you a feel for what he looks like and what kinda friends he has.

Please don't meet him on your own, we read of problems when people who have met someone they know from the net and things go so very very wrong. Please take extreme care.
