If you do so it might taste a little bit tougher or bland after you cook it, but it shouldn't taste too bad.
If the meat has thawed but ice crystals are still visible, it may be refrozen. If meat has completely thawed and has warmed above room temperature, it should NOT be refrozen.

Well, yeah you always hear that you shouldn't do that. I've done it with things that are partially thawed..like still kind of icy or solid in the middle. You run the risk of freezer burn and the meat tasting a little off, but as long as the meat has stayed below 40 degrees the whole time it should be fine. If you've thawed it out on the counter definitely DON'T do it. If you've thawed it out in the refrigerator and don't know if your fridge is super cold (40 degrees or less) then you're taking a chance. Good luck.

Ground meats and poultry should never be refrozen. If partially or completely defrosted but still cold, cook it first and then freeze if necessary.
As long as the meat cuts and poultry are still full of " Ice-crystals ", they can be safely refrozen.
If the meat or poultry has completely thawed but still is very cold, cook it and freeze it as a cooked product.
If the meat or poultry is no longer cold, it must be thrown out. This is important especially for ground meats /poultry.
Room temperatures allow bacteria to grow on the surface of the meat, even while the inside is frozen.

If it completely dethaw meat than no. (hope you thaw in the fride(not kidding here people this is the best and safest way, trust the chef)) If you half thaw pork or beef than it will be ok (it's ify, on a hot day dethawing on a couner than no, warm or cold day its fine, usally). Chicken, if you thaw for more than a half hour do NOT refreeze. Keep it in the fridge and cook within 3 days.
If you completely thaw than don't refreeze, just store in the fridge for no more than 3 days.

When you get it from the store, its thawed, but when the store receives it , it's frozen, then you take it home and freeze it again and thaw it out when your ready to use it, so I dont see why it would be bad, i mean they sell it to you knowing that you are probly going to go home a freeze it again.

i could propose that in case you thaw all of it out, you prepare dinner all of it then freeze what you do not want to consume. in case you want to purely prepare dinner a element of it, rapid thaw the beef. start up via putting it in quite heat water in a bowl. whilst it cools off, then drain and upload greater lukewarm water. as quickly as you could injury unfastened the beef from one yet another, injury the products aside. Take what you want to prepare dinner. Then re-bag the beef in diverse smaller bags, so which you do not have this difficulty lower back and stick lower back in freezer. as long simply by fact the beef has ice crystals or keeps to be in part frozen it is going to be superb.

No!!!! Either eat it or through it out! I think that we have all had enough with the spinach episode, no sense in taking changes, and no piece of meat is worth getting sick over!!!

Many people say no, you cannot refreeze. My friend who is a Home Economics teacher says that you can IF it is still very cold. Don't try to refreeze if it has come up to room temp.
