I have a rca 52" hdtv it's only 2 yrs old....i went to turn it on and the power button lights up,but then shuts off....then it will come on then back off again w/ no picture or sound.....any clues on why it would come off and on???

The set is probably triggering an internal breaker because something in the set has failed and is drawing too much current. it may be marginal, so that sometimes the breaker holds, but the defective part (probably a power supply) prevents you from getting a picture. You will need to have it serviced. Contact RCA or the dealer where you bought it.
