1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The natural man here is the man who is not born again of God's spirit.

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue

How do we have a knowledge of God? - The primary way he has given us is His word. If God has truly given us all things for life and godliness - then we can look to his word for the answers and be meek to what it says.

I believe He indwells all who have given themselves to the cause of Love (God). Those who are motivated by selfless love will ask their deepest hearts what action will best fulfill Jesus' "Golden Rule". i like to use the Strong's exhaustive concordance, it is huge and probably costly, my mom gave me my dad's after he died as she is legally blind and can't read it herself, but if you have the money it would be a great help to you for many years. i do agree that you must pray before reading the Word and ask our Lord for His guidance in understanding His Word.
