I stopped going to Red Lobster years ago - never got our order right ..TWICE they spilled either our food or a pitcher of water on us...and one time my friend became so ill that night after eating there I was certain it must have been the food.
I'm not fond of too many chain restaurants like that...too much going on at once...and things like a raw shrimp, spill, broken glass, etc. going on. Plus noisy and crowded, etc, etc.
We go to privately owned and operated restaurants now..like family owned places...much calmer and less busy atmosphere..and so those kind of boo-boos don't happen as often.

Oh yes I have had a bad experience at Red Lobster. My friend and I were eating a plate of crab legs (they had an all you can eat special) when she looked at it and said "OMG there's a fly in that". I called the waitress over to show her, and she accused us of putting it in the food. I asked for the manager after that.... he was pretty rude, but gave us the meal free. He said "we can't make this a habit though". It's not like me and my friend look like bums either. We are both businesswomen. I will NEVER eat there again.

I am a vegeatrian, and going to Red Lobster with coworkers is a horror for me every time. Is that what you are asking for? You are lucky that you got your meal free. I never do :-)

Hrm... it made me vomit once when I was a child.... pretty scary stuff. And recently I went and ordered the lobster bisque in a bread bowl... that was pretty scary as they doused the whole bread bowl with fake butter/oil. There was just about as much oil as soup, really. It's certainly not one of my favorite places these days. I really prefer smaller, independent restraunts that change their menu regularly.

Yes, unfortunately, we had to leave because in the doorway people are allowed to smoke and I have severe breathing issues, so we had to go elsewhere. Did not even get to eat there.
I am sorry your experience was so bad. Hope that never happens again. Maybe it is good we did leave. :)

If you're allergic to seafood ... DON'T eat at Red Lobster. Even if you order chicken or something, they prep everthing on the same tables, and cook everything in the same oils, and on the same grills; so food to food transfer is very very real... This place almost killed me!!!

I was in Harrisonburg VA....near Massanutten resort....and I ordered one of thos apple turnover thingys...and the waiter gave me two them frozen on the inside, hot on the outside....with melted ice cream. The third one he gave me was too hot to eat for at least 10 minutes. The ice cream wasn't even ice cream any more...it was just "cream".

Damn.... not that bad, but the last time we were there, the deep fried shrimp was terrible. I should have complained but I didn't. Not going back anytime soon.
