GRAND RAPIDS — Federal immigration officials have completed a five-day sweep of western Michigan in which they apprehended 54 fugitive illegal immigrants who had disappeared after receiving deportation orders. They also captured an illegal immigrant with an extensive criminal history who had illegally re-entered the United States after being removed, officials at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Thursday. The initiative, dubbed "Operation Return to Sender," started Sept. 8 and ended Wednesday. The agency focused its efforts within the triangle formed by Lansing, Grand Rapids and Battle Creek. The sweep was part of an "interior immigration enforcement strategy" Burma, Cambodia, China, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Nicaragua, Turkey and Yugoslavia.Ain't diversity grand?
And angela R they're just here to work 24hrs a day and send 90% of their money back to their wife, 20kids and 100yo grandmother. Oh the pain and heartache!
Plus even more STILLMORE, Ga. — Trailer parks lie abandoned. The poultry plant is scrambling to replace more than half its workforce. Business has dried up at stores where Mexican laborers once lined up to buy food, beer and cigarettes just weeks ago. This Georgia community of about 1,000 people has become little more than a ghost town since Sept. 1, when federal agents began rounding up illegal immigrants. The sweep has had the unintended effect of underscoring just how vital the illegal immigrants were to the local economy. More than 120 illegal immigrants have been loaded onto buses bound for immigration courts.

Americans have become fed up and we will not forget May 1, 2006. This is the price paid for arrogance and disrespect towards America & Americans. I support total deportation, no matter how long it takes or what the cost becomes, The marchers should have realized that America does not tolerate disrespect well. Lady Liberty is as "Macho" as any, She has cojones the size of footballs!!

A drop in the bucket, but what a happy drop it is...

I find it interesting how reluctant our government is to deport illegal mehhicans. They are rounding up everyone but. There seems to be a law for illegal mehhicans and a real law for all the others.

I want all illegals out, but especially the mehhicans who have disgraced our hospitality and our flag and our good hearts.

*sighs* same song and dance.Geesh i swear this is like watching reruns of cops. They rally up and deport a few illegals and smile to the cameras and talk about how they are doing their job.Meanwhile they are taking their sweet time building a wall and coming to a decision on an immigration bill.yeah woopie. They are treating the anti illegals like ducks, throwing them bread crumbs once in a while to shut them up,while in reality they do nothing.

Do you feel safer now? Those illegals are all criminals every last one hua?

You are ignorant. My family is full of illegals. Not one of them is a criminal. Only a few send money back to Mexico. All pay taxes. None are on welfare. But, to someone like you FACTS about an entire race of people doesn't matter. There is trash in every race. Murders, rapists and criminals come in every color. People like you make me embarrassed to be an American.
