Not wanting to be a pedant here - but Middlesex does not exist as a county, and Liverpool and Nottingham are cities. That leaves Cornwall - which I would definitely agree is the best in the country

Depends on what you're looking for?
I have lived in Berkshire - very nice, if a touch expensive, and tends to be rammed woth tourists from May to October, good mix of town- and country-life.
(North) Bucks is also very pituresque, loads of open space, yet with all amenities close to hand - you can even go naked sledging all year round if that's your thing!
Northants is very much like N Bucks, but somewhat cheaper to live.

If you want urban hustle n bustle, noise and relative anonimity, don't ask me!

devon or cornwall because they're beautiful and you can eat crab sandwiches and creamteas for the rest of your life.
Saw you answered same q as me re. mushies. I used to pick about 2000 a day years ago when I lived in Wales.
