Yes, they're cute. But the exploitation of that has already been done (Walt Disney) and it's a mouse-eat-dog world out there.
Mice crap all over the place, eat and damage stuff (including TVs and radios) and spread germs. Remember, it was rats and mice that caused the bubonic plague pandemic (Black Death) in Europe.
End his life as soon as possible and reset the trap. Or, if it's a glue trap, be sure to throw it out. Mice are no joke, cute as they may be.

why put the trap down in the first place knowing you are about to kill a mouse if you feel that bad then get rid of the trap and find another way of getting rid of the mice, why not get a cat then you can have your own tom and jerry show.

when a mouse got into our home, we put out poison and he died. i felt bad. i buried him, said a prayer and i felt better afterwards.
