Don't lower yourself to that level, Jim.
He is obviously a troll and making fun of others only lessens you.
Don't waste your time or reputation.

Civilized culture shows us that when one person harasses another they are showing their own insecurities and immaturity.
I would suggest if you think you know so much you act like a mature adult and help them do not make fun of the (so called)weaker one.
Its sad when immaturity is shown more often than intelligence on this site. The biggest part comes from people like you.
If they do not listen or respond with an insult remember the mature thing to do is move on.

I've notice that the religion & spirituality section has the most sensitive, humorless, disillusioned, preachy, cynical, close-minded, hypocritical individuals from all the sections I've posted Q's and A's. Oh well, what can you do? You can't argue with a person who is not willing to change their belief system regardless of all the evidence against their particular belief.

I don't wonder why. I don't care why anyone would laugh at me. I laugh at anyone who would assume that the person who posted that is religious. For all I know you could be a religious person posing as an Agnostic or Atheist. The Internet is the great equalizer. Anyone can be anything they want to be online.

I am a christian and I really dont get why some people have to make fun of me and my beliefs. I think some people just do it coz they think that because we dont believe what they believe we are bad. Like Iraq doesnt like America because we are free and independent, they see us as evil. I dont really know the case.
I think that is the main reason why people pick on others with a diffrent belief then theirs. Like maybe one person picks on a certain belief and thta could be just coz they have heard bad about that belief or they have heard that they are against their belief.
There are many diffrent reasons and no one can really say why untill they have stepped into that persons shoes.

It is the same reason that people of one church mock members of other churches, it is a weakness of the flesh. I believe that it is an safeguard that people erect when they feel threatened. Non-religious people feel threatened by religious people because religion to them is something that points out their flaws and they don't like to hear that they are doing wrong. The natural reaction to this is to criticize and mock the religion(s) that put them in this predicament.

I dont, non-religious people add spice to our lives...even if its just jalapenos. But that is their purpose in life...to piss off the religious people so I get a kick out of it all the more cause some folks get HOT...Hey if you know...you KNOW. ya know?
In fact I plan on marrying a good Christian Critic! She'll keep my faith in check...make sure I dont start Stoning and Burning Heretics !
Love ya. God bless you with knowledge and understanding according to your faith. (or lack of) hence.....

It's the same 'reasoning' many racists have for 'making fun of' an entire race. ONE guy of a different race offended them in some way - and from that moment on they felt 'justified' to attack [verbally or otherwise] everyone else of the same race. I say... GROW UP. Craig!! :o)

o come now thats not fair, hes crazy.
that would be like me insulting atheists based on the loud ones on Yahoo who act like they know literally nothing. (not you, but there are some who show up sometimes asking stupid questions)
so dont generalize, and use that to make fun.
though i do understand where your coming from, its usually the loud psuedo-religious that ruin the rep of the actual religious. o well.

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
