Do you agree with this?

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere the children went,
The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed them to school each day,
Twasn't even in the rule.
It made the children laugh and play.
To have the Lamb at school.

And then the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak his Name.

Everyday got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,
That's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray!

I think it's done with good intentions, however I can't help but feel that depicting Jesus as a Lamb of Mary is NOT right. He is the Lamb of God. I agree that Jesus is a missing factor in schools and that it is a necessity to make Him part of every section in any education but this poem(song??) is to me disrespectful... Jesus doesn't follow any1.

i disagree.

public schools are public for a reason and this is america.

why should people who dont believe in the divinity of Jesus have to act like they do.

though i do feel its redictulus to make it illegal to say God, and in that way reverse the alienation of the subject.

but dont teach kids to pray, thats stupid, let them pray or not pray on thier own, because muslims pray differently, so do jews, even christians pray differently.

OH MY GOSH! I love this poem. It expresses the way i feel about the way that society is trying to get anything that has to do with religion esp. Christians out. In school is the most buggest example. The pledge of alligiene was debated if it could be said anymore becuase it ha the name God in it. And parents complaingin baout it. Then we can't really talk or debate on the Bible or even teach it (well teh teachers can't) and also, some colleges well i had a friend at my church who said that he tried to bring his bible to school ion college and hten was yelled at to put it away. My cousin was told ot take of her shirt that said "Got Christ?" on it. But she didn't but didn't get in trouble. The ten commanments wer being debated on whether to tkae it off in a federal building. I feel like the world is trying to wipe out or erase anything that has to do with God from anyplace. And it makes me mad? We are truly in a war witht eh rest of the world. But i know that i will stand frim on God's side for i will not give up ebven if i had to die for professing that Jesus is my Lord.! I am going to buy a whole bunch of shirst that say anything about my Christ and see what will happen. I don't care if i get in troulbe becuase we should have freedom of speech. But thanks for that peom it makes me realize again what the world is putting us through. But just like He said in the bible that He will fight for us and that we need to only be still.(exodus 14:14.)

I disagree. Prayer needs to be taught in the home and at church/temple.
Children are behaving badly at school because of bad parenting, not because Christian prayer is not there.

i think it was a big mistake to take our Lord and Savior out of the school, they can't stop our children or ourselves from praying, tho', so there is hope.
