And why is it only ONE? I guess if it were the right shoe that would mean the passenger was proping their foot on the window and it blew off.......reverse goes for the left shoe. I cant say I have ever lost a shoe on the highway.....good question.......lol

Ask this question to any rescue/ emergency worker and they will tell you that most of these shoes come from pedestrians knocked down on the roadway. I am a firefighter/rescue worker and can witness to this.

one time, i was sticking my feet out the window to relax, and the gust winds of going 75 mph made my shoes fall off,
they slip on converse [not slip ons that are missing the heel] that fit tight so i didnt see how it happend but it happend.

My nephew was mad at his mom because she didn't stop at the toy store so he threw one of the shoes out of the window that she just brought. He got in trouble but I thought it was funny.
