I can understand if it is someone you just met, but if it is someone you have been talking to for a couple months shouldn't you have the balls to at least acknowledge that you don't want to talk to someone? I

It's funny how most of the girls say it is a b**ch move, and the guys are more likely to avoid them.

Some people are too sub-human to be dealt with in any rational way. Avoiding them is an acceptable solution, and at times, the most advisable solution. Why stoop to speaking to somebody whose behavior has placed them beneath your dignity? It's not a question of having nerve or not. It's a matter of whether or not you want to have some stupid drama queen following you around for the rest of your life (because they tend not to take "no" for an answer), or if you'd rather just do the sensible thing and cut them off the moment they start posing a problem. Sometimes, talking to these cretins only encourages them toward further displays of inappropriate behavior.

It's not a sign of weakness to avoid somebody. In fact, people who do so are often far more intelligent than the aggressive types. They know who they want to avoid and just do it, rather than risking any further conflict. Why talk to somebody you don't want to talk to, anyway? And some people are too stupid and violent to pursue further conversation with. Just ignore them, and they'll eventually fade into the oblivion they deserve.

I would ignore them as well. There is nothing to gain from giving them a label. Take the hint and oblige them...and yourself. I would like to share this quote. "When things are not going your way, use it as an opportunity to show how much class you have".

Totally...but it doesn't always work that way and most people are just too damn scared to tell another person they don't want to talk to them anymore. They're scared of hurting thier feelings...boo hoo I say. Stand up and be a man/woman. You won't get anywhere in this world crawling around on your knees with your nose up someone's as*

Yes you should. Unfortunately, many people are too wimpy.
On the other hand, I don't think that society really rewards people for being direct, so I can see where it comes from.

I do.
The only way to settle something is to be honest and open about the situation. You have to express your feelings if you want an outcome.
