Not the God concept in itself. In my opinion, it is the religious books that use fear of man made places, like hell, to control the people. The people who teach from those books discourage any followers from exploring other ideas and researching other beliefs. I think that they are afraid of their people questioning and thinking for themselves. I find that tragic because there is so much out there in this world that we all could share and enjoy.

It can be a form of mind control and many do fall in to that following. Never questioning or taking the time to read the word and try to understand. They allow others to tell them what to think and what to say. Many of those are cults but main stream religion has it's fair share of blind followers also. Behavior control I don't think so even though many use religion to justify the limits they instill on the masses, they do not follow their own rules.

Mythology again I don't think so (note just my opinion), With the Bible if in the is proved fact in it then there is a truth to it, Truth is history has proved many people, places and events. What is left to question is the things of faith, that part is alot harder to prove.
Debating things of the spirit are things that the answers will not come in this life, either they are believed or not. Each person gets to make that choice on their own.

The biggest problem comes when we believe something and refuse to understand why we believe it. We look to others to explain it to us and for us. You can go to and church on Suday and see that. Where the rubber meets the road is how a person applies what they believe. Do they use and twist words to justify what they claim, or do they put action to their believes?

Is believing come down to collective mind control or is it personal in as much as it show in how a person lives. I personally don't follow mind control yet I profess a faith in Jesus. So what is the real difference? I say watch me, judge my actions, then make up your own mind. My actions will either affirm my faith or they will condemn it. You be the judge.

For those who like to quote verse after verse I would like to say to you, what is the one thing that all the laws are based on.

To love ones neighbor as ones self, if that was truly practiced then all the laws would be fullfilled.

Also if that was practice there would be no need for mind control.

No. God is not a concept.
Every living thing has awareness of God. Every living thing has a relationship with God.

The mythology books and religion are the human attempt to understand and unscramble the mystery of God. Humans make mistakes.

Maybe it originated as an honest attempt to find the truth about life and death. But it's beyond question that it's become now THE single most powerful form of mind and behaviour control, now.

I don't know?
Have you "personally" read what God has to say in the Bible?
I think all one has to do is read and research the Bible for themselves to answer this, (or any other), question.
Quit trying to get shortcut answers by asking "People". People are ignorant, by and large, and will give a wide variety of answers! How will you know which is the right answer... by how you feel? Or by whether "you" agree or not? If so... you are doomed before you begin!

Somewhat, though it is manifested in others and transferred to the recipients through the group mind think. Sorta like the people who get extremely upset over football game results.

YES you know I believe it. I prefer my mind to be controlled at the same time as my body. God just doesn't do it for me. LOL

If you want to think that. I just know that I believe, and that's that. Nobody controlls me.

God is God. He's not a concept. He's not a fairytale. He just is.
