Are they laughing at me?

I usually wear my hair straight. But once in a while i'll wear it so it's curled. I've had some people say I look really nice with it curled. But the other day I wore it like this to work. A couple of girls just looked at me with a laughing look and didn't say anything. But yet this one girl that did this. Told this lady who's hair is kind of graying that oh you're letting your hair grow and acted like it looked nice. Said this right in front of me. But never said anything to me. Do these people think I look funny this way or something? Even though theirs been people who've said I looked nice like this. I hate when people just look at you with a funny look and don't say anything. Why do they do this?

they look because its different. everyone has an opinion. some may like you with curly hair - others may not. It may be that you look great with curled hair so they make you feel silly because you're upstaging them. Maybe they just don't like curly hair in general. try get an honest opinion from someone you trust and if the people at work dont make you feel good about yourself then wear you hair curly when you go out or at weekends.

You can actually tell if the curly hair looks nice on you or not when you look at yourself in the mirror. If still uncertain, try asking the opinion of a trusted friend/person who will not say it looks nice just to be polite. You want an honest answer. If you think you do look nice with curly hair as this trusted person thinks so too, then by all means feel free to wear it that way. Everything is a matter of preference and personal opinion. And there's no way you could please everyone. If they do not like the way you wear it curly, by all means they can always look away. Ignore the comments of those who seem to make fun of it. There are just some people who loves to make things miserable for others. And try not to be too paranoid about it too. For all you know, maybe they are laughing at something else.

Ah dont worry so much about what others think. Wear your hair the way YOU want to wear it. Its your hair. If they dont like it.. then so be it... if they love it.. then so be it. You cannot please everyone so just be at peace with pleasing yourself. And if someone wants to laugh at you about your hair and the way its styled.. that just shows their immaturity. Believe me.. there are much more important things to worry about than a way another person styles their hair. I was on the receiving end all the way through high school for clothes, hair, whatever it was.. they made fun of me, but you know what??? When you become an adult, it really dont matter anymore, because people grow up and become mature and silly stuff like that just doesnt matter. I tried to adjust to the likes of others, however always failed to meet their expectations. Finally I said F**k it and I have been so much happier with myself since. Good luck. Dont let them immature children get you down. If you like your hair.. then thats ALL THAT MATTERS!!

Don’t worry about what they say or do, because if they have the proper respect and self esteem to go up to ur face and tell u that u look good or bad then they are important if not and they just sit there with little girly laughs on their faces the are stupid and childish .

I’m a social light and always in the spotlight and the only time people really make fun of u or gossip about u is when they are jealous about ur self-esteem. Keep ur chin up and be proud, **** them if they don’t like ur hair coz u don’t like theirs!!

Try this: Don't worry about what other people think.

If you like the hairdo, it's just fine. If you're a young woman, there's NOTHING you can do with your hair that will look bad! Only make sure it shines, has no split ends and is healthy. Everthing else is open territory.

Youth is for having fun and being free. You can do whatever you want with your hair. I bet it's gorgeous!

I can tell you from firsthand experience that women in offices are b*tches. They will tell you to your face that they like what you are wearing, how you did your hair, etc. and barely wait til you are out of earshot before they let their true colors show. Don't worry about it--you have to toughen up. I just finally got to the point when I am told something like this I just reply with "Gee thanks...but I don't like your shoes. Where did you get them?? Hookers R Us?" That usually shuts them up for a while.....

pple are stupid and any little insecurity they may have they take it out on you, maybe its not that your hair looks funny, maybe you wear it in a way where they would never wear it because if they did they wouldnt have the courage to. dont let that stop you from wearing your hair a certain way...dont worry about im sure it was nothing but i know what you're talking about

Why do you care one way or another what they think or say? I'm assuming you are a grown woman with a life of your own. If you like your hair curled, isn't that all that should matter?

if u like the way it looks and u feel good by the way u wear it then dont listen to others they do not know what makes u u people are bad in life but hey do what makes u happy dont go around worring remember i u worry about what people think then u r there prisioner

Who cares what they think? Everyone has different textures, colors, and hair styles. One size does not fit all. As long as you're happy with the way it looks, that's all that matters.
