Something else to check is that, if you have your DVD on the same cable as a hard drive, that the hard drive is set to master and the DVD is set to slave. (Little jumper on the rear of both the hard drive and the DVD-ROM drive.)

it would,t be your hard drive causeing the problem rather then your need the drivers for the sound card /dvd

u probably knocked the sound cable in the back of cd rom.take out and put in again.you may also have knocked one of the cards.re seat them
