You will probably have to take it to the dealership to take care of this. They'll have to remove the player, then open up the top of it to get the coins out I would think. Not sure of any home remedy for this, I wouldn't recommend inserting anything in there to try and get them out. As you might damage the laser lens or motors on the cd player.

Funny enough my parents bought a car unknowingly with this issue. Obviously I am only responding for anyone who might stumble across this post with the same problem. I brought my car into the shop for another issue and asked them to check my aux port and they discovered this issue. Apparently, if it isn't done right, which they tried fishing out some coins, it will damage the cd player. Have to buy a whole new radio .... bleh, but now I have no aux or cd player abilities. Bummer.

First off, pull the fuse to the CD player! That could short out at any moment.
To retrieve the coins, you'll have to pull the CD palyer and open it up. If you're not mechanically inclined to do that, you'll need to take it to an auto sound shop or a dealer to have them removed.

You are going to have to remove the CD player and take it apart. If you are not mechanically inclined, take your car to the shop. There are no parts involved but they will probably charge you a good 30 bucks for labor. If you have been thinking about upgrading your CD player, now would be a good time.

Considering coins are not magnetic, you are out of luck trying to recover them from the slot. You will probably have to remove unit and take cover off unit to get coins out. I would not power it up if possible as the coins are still conductive and you may short something in there.

You would be better off to just get a new cd player. You can get them for cheap at like autozone or something even though I would recomend one from best buy or crutchfield.com. Especially if the coins were pennies. Even one penny will mess it up permanently. Something in the copper will make it go haywire and it is NOT fixable.

pull the player out of the dash, take the 2 or 4 screws out of the top, turn it over and the coins will fall out

If you can't take out the CD player try a paperclip. Maybe you can slide the coins back out.
