I read that some don´t, so what or who do they worship? I also understand that they do not believe in HELL. Of course they don´t, they could not admit that they are going to burn for eternity with their boss, at the lake of fire and sulfur

Hey AMICO, don´t like my question? Why spend 20 minutes writing an answer.

I am just asking why SATAN...ists do not worship satan? G.E.T. I.T? No you don´t

Of course I do not want people to go and burn eternally, but it will happen. I am sorry, not my choice, is theirs...

satanism is really more like spiritual athiesm.

they do not believe in God or Satan, but they do believe in the energies of the earth and nature.

satanism and devil worship are 2 very different things.

satanism is the polar opposite to christianity,

devil worship is the worship of the evil diety of the christian faith.

In fact satanists claim to worship no god or demon or devil at all.

That said; at one time there was a strange heretic group that existed around eight hundred years ago or so who considered Lucifer to be the true identity of Jesus... They thought that the words of Luke 10:18 were an explanation of Isaiah 14:12 and that Jesus was speaking of himself as being the "morning star" near the end of the book of Revelations (22:16).They would be best described as simply a protestant Christian sect however rather than Satanists, and most scholars now feel that identifying Satan as equivalent to Lucifer as they had originally thought back in the 3rd century would be incorrect translation - which has interesting implications.

People who refer to themselves as Satanists honestly have little to no affiliation to the Devil. They follow a philosophy started by a man named Aleistar Crowley. It principle teaching is "Do as though wilt be it the whole of the law". They do not sell there souls or even believe in Satan or his power. Hollywood has done the modern Satanist a grave injustice by making them seem as if they are Devil Worshippers.

Devil Worshippers are entirely different from Satanists. I do know some devil worshippers. They are very secretive and let no outsiders, not even Occultists examine their rituals and incantations. I can not say more nor would I if I could. They are people to respect. Here is a link if you really want to find out more about this great religion.

LaVeyan Satanism is basically atheistic, in that it does not recognize a separate, individual entity known as Satan. If LaVeyan Satanists worship anyone, they worship the ego and the self.

"Satan" is a symbol of the philosophy that they follow, not some red guy with a pitchfork.

A note for Sherloc - Crowley founded Thelema, LaVey founded the religion of Satanism.

A note for CoolGirl - um, Wiccans most definitely do recognize and worship gods, generally in the form of the God and Goddess.

I'm hysterical over the fact that a bunch of goths are Wiccan, but they don't worship anything, they just, like, learn about white magick and black magick.

Anyway, the nub and gist of it could be this:
Most religions = mind over matter
Satanism = matter over mind.

Satanists are cool people, actually incredibly non-judgemental. Which is more than I can say for most people. Satanists believe in themselves, and getting themselves through this life the best that they can, come hell (hehe pun intended) or high water. They do not believe someone else did it for them, or that their way is chosen already, or that their treatment of others may dictate their afterlife. Nope. None of that.

No true Satanists worship Satan. It's a common misconception. They don't believe in either God or Satan. So, they're not too concerned with that lake of fire nonsense, either.

No, most Satanists do not believe in Satan, Hell, or any sort of deity. The Church of Satan is a religion of self-fulfillment, whether it be by enlightenment or fulfillment of carnal desires.

Remember kids, only you can prevent prejudice.

How about you wait until the self identified satanists answer your question in order to get a real answer. Also, satanists might vary from person to person in their own practices.

So much hate in your statement. You sound almost giddy at the prospect of another person being sepparated from god. =( That kinda hurts my heart.

Jesus hung out with tax payers--thieves, Prostitutes, the mentally ill, the homeless, etc. Why are you hate-mongering in the name of Jesus? Does it make you feel righteous? Do you feel that you will truly be able to express the love and grace of god through hate?

I am very heart sore. As someone who does believe in Jesus, I apologize on non-hating believers behalf. Right now Christians fear that they are being prosecuted in the US. If there is resistance to a religion, it could be because people feel that they are under attack and have no choice but to defend themselves. I do not call myself a christian, because it would draw the wrong pictures in people's minds of who i am. Christians = Nazi's to many people because of the large climate of hate in the world today. I am not ashamed to say that i am a human, who identifies with a creator named Jesus.
I am ashamed of this hate though. A very dear friend of mine, a very loving, wonderful, kind person is a satanist. I do not hate her. God gave us free will to excersize and I am okay with her doing that, just as i am okay with me doing that. I am sorry there is so much hate coming from those who claim to represent Jesus.

Most Satanists are atheists and do not believe in god, satan, heaven or hell. It is a religion which focuses emphasis on the self not on anything supernatural or divine.

Satanism teaches that there is no God or Satan. So you can
do what you want, because there is no reward or punishment.
Nevertheless, there are devil worshippers who call themselves
Satanists. You know how some people need to belong.
