I would be asking myself some questions. First, How is God being glorified in this situation? Also, Am I seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness? I would then pray for guidance to these valid questions. Hope this helps:)

First of all, this person is looking to God to supply material needs and blaming Him for some things that are probably their own bad choices made. God blesses everyone with everything they need to survive everyday of their life. What we do with those things, through our own FREE WILL of CHOICES MADE are what get us through our life's experiences. So to blame God for things that happened to them is really disrespectful and they are missing the whole point.
I challenge everyone to think of anything they have ever done that has gone wrong and then think of the choices made-everyone that led to that point where that specific decison was made and then realize whether they could have done something different to get a different outcome. We can't blame God for some of our one messups, ya know?
Then again, there are some things in life that do happen that are beyond our control, but that is the way it is written in His book of life. Still we need to always have faith and strength that no matter what happens, God will always be there to help us through. At the times when we are running from Him and blaming Him, we should be praying and thanking Him that although we have lost things, we are still alive to keep fulfilling His mission for our lives.
God is all we will ever need and the only source of unconditional love we will ever experience. He never said we not go through things. But He did say He would be with us every step of the way.

Trusting in the Lord is different than needs-based religion. The Bible says if you seek Christ's kingdom first, all of what you need will be added unto you. True faith means taking whatever He allows to come your way and knowing that He knows the end from the beginning and will work it out according to His good will..not yours. Obviously, there would be no martyers if they were all sittin' around wondering why they should have to give up their lives for their Saviour (if they were practicing 'needs-based' faith). Too many religions are promoting this type of faith now, however, look at all Christ was willing to give up for us!!! If He's our example, simply put your trust in Him (something very few ppl think about doing) and let Him direct your life. Here's a good Bible promise to back up what I'm trying to express: Proverbs 3:5-6
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Sorry -- it doesn't work that way...You can't just sit back and expect God to supply your every need. However, if you have faith in him and really believe that he will help you, you'll find that things will start falling into place. But that's only if you believe. A lot of people pray, hoping their prayers will be answered. The way to do it is to pray, knowing your prayers will be answered. And incidentally, God doesn't always answer prayers immediately, or in the manner that you would want him to. He knows what's best for you, and will answer your prayer in due time, and in his own way. But you have to have faith.

This is a rough one. Here you have a hurting person in need of compassion and of practical help.
Point her/him toward a church that deals in practical help: soup kitchens, job hunting help, clothing giveaways, and such. Point them toward food stamps, Medicaid, and other government help, too.
Give this person your love and compassion (be careful of overgiving or of co-dependency). You might point her toward a counselor or counseling clergyperson, too. Pray for, and pray with, this person.
Have this person read the Gospels and the book of Job, at least the first few and last few chapters of Job. Jesus shows plenty of compassion for the poor and hurting.
Sometimes God allows us to go through tests to improve our character, help us lean upon Him, strengthen our faith, and deepen our compassion for others in trouble.
I pray that this person and you get all you need from God, and then some!

I would say they are not seeking God to meet their needs.
Luke 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I would have to ask more questions: Which God?? Which needs? etc. Hopefully, in doing so, I would get a clue to where they are mistaken.

If they are a Christian, and they say that,, they are telling a bald face lie... God takes care of ALL our daily needs, he may not give them ALL of their wants but he takes care of thier needs... IF they are right with the LORD... If they are not getting what they need something is wrong with them,,, NOT WITH GOD..
