If the person commits a sin (in ignorance of the fact that it's a sin), but later discovers that it is a sin (for example, he didn't realise that it was a sin to murder people, but then read the Bible and discovered that it was), then he would have to repent that sin and ask for God to forgive him.

We are conceived in sin, born in sin and sin on a daily basis without being aware of it in addition to sinning and being aware of it. That is why Jesus died for us--for the sins we inherited and the sinful tendancy which draws us away from God. The question should be, what can we do about it, rather than, does it count with God.

Yes, because we are born with a sinful nature because of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God. The reason that God sent Jesus to the world was to become the ultimate sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. Acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Savior, because of His death in our place, cleanses us from past, present and future sin. Repentance (turning away from) for any sins that we commit keeps us close to God and His Son. Jesus is the only acceptable sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins.

A sin is a sin and all knew it's a sin even before committing it. If u do something without knewing that's a sin, it's o.k. But y r u afraid? for every sin u r the one who gets penality, so pay for it.

In the Bible-the tree of the knowledge of good and evil MAKES us know whether we are committing a sin or not-But here's another question-If you are not aware that you are committing a sin such as murder-are you legally insane? Maybe, if you don't KNOW if you are committing a sin or not, you are insane? hmmmmmmmmmm....do the insane go to heaven, if there is one?

I don't think ignorance (I don't mean that in a bad way) is a good excuse, but I'm not going to play God and tell you what He would do. He is merciful and I think if you ask Him to forgive your sins He will, and yo uwill be completely pure, He's not going to remember that one little sin and use it to condemn you on Judgement Day.

Hey, a sin is a sin. Rather you know it, or anyone knows it. Just ask Jesus to come into your heart and ask him for forgiveness, and you will have everlasting life.

If he in good conscience had no idea that it was wrong, then he isn't culpable for it. Good conscience is key though - someone who steals a car and says "well I don't think stealing is a sin" is still culpable.
