Using people shampoo, conditioners and dish soap on dogs is not a good thing to do. When a dogs licks after you use these products on them it can make them sick, and give them the runs. It will also strip all the natural oils out of the skin, and coat. If you need to use a conditioner on a dog use one that was made for dogs, or use a baby shampoo, conditioner. Good luck.

If they have really sensitive skin, some types can hurt them. But, we have a dog that when we wash him, we have to use people conditioner or he itches like crazy

Use shampoo and conditioners made for dogs. You may need bath your dog more often because conditioners attract more dirt. So use a gentle or oatmeal shampoo.

I did and my dog, Sam, just stood in front of the mirror all day running his left front paw through his fur which hung like hair. Eventually, he came out of the closet and left home when he met a guy on Yahoo! Answers. Be careful.

It would not hurt him. I use Salve Coconut Conditioner on my dog, when I am just rinsing him. Just make sure you get all of it rinsed off!
Just use something that you would use on a baby.

nothing really i use it on my animals all the time even on horses...if you show a dog most owners will use human conditioner to make their hair silkier and straight and smooth so it is perfectly fine

the pup will look glamorous!!! lol. nothing really, but if it makes your dog's skin dry or flaky, use something else. for instance, we use johnsons & johnsons baby shampoo with moisture lock on our dogs, and it works great! best wishes!:)
