When your girl dresses up all the time? I read this book about how men feel "disrespected," and "hurt" when their significant other is out of shape or isn't wearing make-up or flattering clothes or something like that. Is that true? because. . . well . . .

Obviously not a man, however, I'm answering anyhow.

I don't think it's always about their girl looking hot. I think that when a girl looks nice (which doesn't include frilly dresses and 6 inches of makeup, necessarily), her self esteem and confidence are evident.

Guys like girls who are confident.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are guys that want their significant other to look good, you know, so he can parade her around like a trophy. Generally though, I think it's the confidence and self esteem that gets them.

well i guess not all men are the same
as i dont like when my girl friend put make up
and do all this things
i like her more natural
no offence but i feel when a girl put on a make up
as if she is painting her face
and i dont want to take out a chunk of this paint
so its lame
a girl should be on her nature
not bad to look after her self every now and then
if going out on a date to classic place or so
but its cool put on a t-shirt a pants hair all messed voila she is ready i like that:)

You have got that all wrong, sweetie.......you need to do this stuff for yourself.....not for anyone else and certainly, not for a man! Our goal in life is not to "please men". If you have to do this to "make" a guy take notice then you are pursuing the wrong guy! You should want to be the best you can be for yourself and whatever benefits you gain from that, well, good for you!

I think they like it when we get dressed up for them and are willing to put effort into our appearance. However, I think they also want to feel like they know you best because they are the only ones who get to see you in the good and the bad times. They know what you look like when you wake up in the morning and they love it. They also feel like we trust them by allowing them to see us when we don't always look our best. It is important to get all "gussied up" sometimes, but I think they appreciate it if we are just ourselves sometimes too.

It is nice sometimes, but not necessary all the time. Just dress comfortably unless it is a special occasion, or unless you want to surprise him.

I don't need you to look like a supermodel all the time, but i do get tired of jeans and a t-shirt.

Can we split the difference?

men who base their "social" standing. or their feelings on whether his mate looks good or not ...........have a very low self esteem and have a very shallow mind.........if i was married or dating hell i dont care... if you want to dress in a burlap bag thats fine.......... im not interested in whats on the outside but whats within......... and if others judge by what a person looks like ............. they are just as shallow
