Would he treat them the way some of the hypocritical outspoken christian leaders do? Afterall, he did minister to the lepers and the prostitutes.

not bashing any leaders...just that there are certan sins that these leaders que on...should we without sin cast the first stone or just if we haven't sinned a particular sin...for the record, personally I disagree with that lifestyle but don't think they would be excluded from grace...

He would love them just the same as He loved the rest of us sinners.

By criticizing others you are yourself being a hypocrite. Are you with out any fault? He who casts the first stone is without sin. Jesus was a PERFECT person without sin. We as humans are with sin, which means we sometimes make mistakes. I am also not sure of what you mean by outspoken Christian Leaders. If a pastor preaches on what not to do, it is because it is his duty to do so. As a Christian it is our duty to let other Christians know about what they are doing wrong(the bible says we are to do this). Also as a Christian we are to evangelize to others and spread the Word around. We are to do everything in a loving manner because that would be Jesus's way.

Some of these answers are completely ridiculous.

Having said that, I am no longer a Christian, but am well versed in the Bible and other Christian doctrine. My personal belief is that Jesus was not pushy, and would not try to make anyone change anything about themselves if it was truly who they were. An adulterer (as so many of you pointed to so quickly) CHOOSES to adulterize (?). A homosexual does not CHOOSE to be gay. There is a huge frigging difference. Jesus loves everyone equally, even me, and I appreciate it but don't acknowledge him as my savior. Jesus would never have said, 'hey, CHOOSE to be someone other than you are!'.

Plus, homosexuality way predates Christianity. If it was good enough for Roman scholars, it's good enough for me!

He would treat them the same way he treated the adulter: he'd love them, help them to their feet, and tell them to sin no more.

As for the way that 'some hypocritical outspoken christian leaders' treat ppl, remember that u should judge a religion by its deity and not its imperfect followers.

They brought a women to Jesus who was caught in Adultry and Jesus forgave her of the sin and told her to go and sin no more..... He would ask the same of the homosexual to repent of the sin and go and sin no more.... By definition, marriage in the bible is between man and women.... By defintion it is a sin for sexual relations outside of marriage... The very clearly explains that homsosexuality is a sin against God... God loves the the sinner but hates the sin.....

Everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God.... If I tell a lie, then I sin...... If I pray for forgiveness with a repentive heart then Jesus will forgive me..... However, I can not shake my fist at God and say...."lieing is not sin"....

Homosexuals in essence if they do not repent..are shaking thier fist at God saying, " Homosexuality is not a sin.".... The bible clearly teaches that it is a sin...

Jesus would show love to Homosexuals but he would tell them the truth about their sin and expect them to repent..... To reject the truth about Homosexuality being a sin....in effect is rejecting God's truth..

Everyone has an oppinion..... including some church congreations which error in believing its acceptable in God's eyes.....

The only oppinion that really counts is God's oppinion... We can find out what God's oppinion is by reading the bible.... The Bible says homosexuality is a sin and it is wrong..... Even to the point that the bible says those who do such things will not go to heaven..... If they repent from these things then yes they can go....If they shake their fist at God and say its not a sin............then.......................

It boils down to what God's word says.....

Listen, being gay is a sin! It is perverse before the Lord, an abomination so detestable to Him that he destroyed two cities because of it. He even said He would give the gays over to a debased mind. You want the truth, that is the truth.

Romans 1:24-29
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,

That is what Jesus thinks of homosexuals. If you say you love God and continue in your sin, you are not of God. Don't fool yourself. Yes, he did heal those people, obviously those people didn't continue in the sins they were committing against Him. As Jesus knew and could read their mind and the true intent of their heart to believe and heed Him.

Jesus would go to the gays and lesbians and tell them to repent of their sins, just as He did to the woman taken in adultery, the hypocrites, and others who were continuing in sin.

Jesus would treat gays and lesbians with compassion.
He would teach them the error of their ways and ask them to follow Him, or continue on a ruinous path.

Like He did with the woman taken in adultery, "Go, and sin no more."

instead of bashing Christian leaders ask ya self what society's views on homosexuals are. I'm sure u'll find that "outspoken Christian leaders" aren't nearly as "outspoken" as society...
