After looking through the questions on here, YES!!!! There are TONS of stupid questions. I think people just created that "no such thing as a stupid question" line to make dumb kids feel better about themselve.

Assumptions are the bane of arguments and high horse of the righteous.

Any question is stupid if qualified as such. The tread is better read in that the non-literal phrase refers to there is no such thing as having a restrictive inquisitive and enquiring mind.

In the real world maybe there is no such thing as a stupid question - but we are on Yahoo Answers, 50% of the questions are stupid.

I quite liked that question - at least it was creative stupidity.

ugh... *shakes head* Maybe the original statement needs qualifying:

I believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question when the asker is completely serious about not knowing the answer and wanting to know.

I guess I used to assume that last part, but we all know what happens when one assumes, right?

I thought that was quite funny actually. And I think that any question that is asked because the asker needs the information can't be a stupid question. The person you're referring to was just making a funny statement.

The idea of that question (which is more of a statement) was to point out how easy it is to confuse people with statistics that have no meaning, it is actually a very good point.

funds and administration. as quickly as 2012 comes and is going without something out of the conventional occurring, yet yet another destiny date would be proposed inclusive of a quasi a possibility excuse, purely the gullible would desire to digest. something to maintain the peoples' minds occupied on an identical time as "the powers that be use them"!

I used to think so but not any more. Some of the questions on Yahoo Answers changed that.

Then Yahoo Answers started and I found out I was wrong.
