The toolbar at the BOTTOM of my screen has decided to double in depth. I have tried dragging it downwards but to no effect. I don't know why it has done this as I have only one or two windows/applications open at any time. Help please? Thanks in advance.

Your toolbar is probably locked. If this is the case, unlock it by right-clicking and choose "Lock the taskbar." The checkmark should go away. You should now be able to drag the toolbar down.

Before you try dragging the bar down, make sure that when you right click on the toolbar that "Lock the taskbar" is not checked.

Maybe its locked. Right click it, unlock it, and then try dragging it down
