Involved areas of the face may be washed frequently with shampoos that are effective against seborrhea Alternatively, ketoconazole cream, 2 percent, may be applied once or twice daily to affected areas. Often, 1 percent hydrocortisone cream will be added once or twice daily to affected areas and will aid with resolution of erythema and itching. Sodium sulfacetamide, 10 percent lotion, is also an effective topical agent for seborrheic dermatitis.

I found a really simple, yet effective relief for my psoriasis, which is quite similar, so probably worth a go. It's not a cream or potion, just a bottle of water, 'Willow Water'. I thought the idea was rediculous when I heard of it, but tried it anyway, to passify my gf. A bottle a day for 10 days had an amazing effect on me. You can get it from Waitrose, Sainsburys and health food shops for about £1.50 a bottle, or online from their website. I know it sounds crazy, but it really did work for me. Good Luck!

Ailments like this become tolerant of topical creams, go to your doc and ask to see a skin specialist, you will the get what you need. These problems can't be helped by over the counter goods.
Don't self diagnose, that's dangerous, get a qualified answer.

Therepeutic T+PLUS gel shampoo from Walgreens
or Neutrogena T-Gel Shampoo
can be used.
Soak cotton ball in T-Gel and hold against the side of your nostrils for 15 minutes twice a day or more.
Ask a pharmacist for his/her recommendations.

Use the OTC Nizoral shampoo as a face wash. I used this on my patients when I was a CNA with good results.

Try an anti-fungal cream like clotrimazole (generic). If this works, then check out www.hufa.org - the yeast link - to learn more about the candida (yeast) fungus.
