Irregardless of your managerial status, you should receive compensation for any length of time worked over 12 hours in a 24-hour time period; anything over 60 hours per work week should also be compensated.

If you are paid by the hour, then you NEED to call the Department of Labor in the state in which you work and ask how to file a grievance. A salaried position is not an hourly-job and should not show up on your paycheck receipt as such. That means if you see anything like "$10.00/hour rate of pay", you are not a salary employee. If you are salaried then calculate your weekly pay divided by the number of hours you work. If it is less than $5.15, then your employer is breaking the Minimum Wage law.

For more information, contact the DOL at 1-866-4USWAGE (1-866-487-9243) anytime between 8am to 5pm in your time zone.

If you're salaried, you have no rights in most states. You're required to put in the time to get the job done, whether that means 4 hours or 14. On the plus side, they can't dock you for leaving early for the day.

In any case, if you think the job is too demanding, you should start looking for another one. The hotel is not adequately staffed if you need to work 15 hour days on a regular basis.

if you are paid by salary then what hours extra you work you can not get paid for but if you are on a hourly rate, then they must pay you...if you are paid hourly contact your state labor board and they will assist you in obtaining your money. keep records of hours you worked overtime to take to the labor board...i must tell you if you do this and complain..look for the hotel management to fire you for a made up reason...your choice

Please advise if you are a salary employee or hourly. If you are salary then somewhere you agreed to this and if not you should contat the labor relations or fair labor board. If you are not salaried you should at once doccument everytime that you work more hours than you are paid for.....you'll be glad you did in court.
I once had a boss that used taking away hours as a "punishment" if we were tardy he would doc our pay an entire hour, if he did not like our clothing minus an hour etc...I sued and won....My time plus
good luck

It would probably be a little less stressful on your feline friend to take him with you. Since he's still a kitten he needs you there to encourage him and teach him whats good and whats a no-no. He'll do fine, but bring along a carrier with a cushion or towel that has your scent on it (it helps comfort the animal), provide PLENTY of water, food, and treats to avoid dehidration and crankyness from hunger. Take him out every now and then and pet him but not for to long or he might get restless. Put him on the shadiest side of the car and sit in the back seat with him so he isnt nervous. Also make sure he has i.d tags and a collar on, and every rest stop you come to bring him out on his leash for a little walk to break up the boredome. Also bring his favourite couple toys along for the ride.

Salary workers do not get paid over time. They get "bonuses".
Since you are on salary, they can make you work basically when ever they want. It is wrong, but legally alright, of them to require that many hours a day of you.
Quit or negotiate.

PS
Obtain a copy of your job description and contract and have a lawyer look it over.

You have the right to quit and find a new job where you are not abused.
If you are paid a salary and the hours are not specified you probably just have to put up with it.

If you're the manager, and you are salary, then they can do that...

They would say you aren't managing well enough if you have to be there that many hours...

If you're salary, there's nothing you CAN do about it. If you're hourly, then you do have rights. Contact Cal/Osha, your union, Labor Board and explain your situation.
