I am a guy , and sometimes I will ask a girl her # , but I do not neccassarily have to dance with them first,if I find it more interesting what they have to say, that for me is more important, but anyways if they say no, a secret desire I have is that they would say,"...but I do have an attractive freind, she might be interested in a guy like you, here let me show you her picture, she's into yada yada, would you like that?...." anyways that's my secret fantasy, also I generealy ask for email not #s and in the past 2 weeks I have aqquired 3 different girls email addresses it helps that unlike my peers I am still single and no kids at 40 and I'm not fat I dress sharp and take care of myself, so unlike the 20 something kids you no doubt encounter I don't go off and sulk if I don't get a # or e-mail I move on to the next girl , I mean realy , It's a big world ,there are other countries, cities, girls I haven't met yet, I am NOT going to get caught up in 1 girl.

Don't give him the wrong number. This is a stupid idea as he may call it there and then to check he's got the right one. Just say you have a boyfriend. This is the easiest.

You can't do it politely..They are going to feel hurt or rejected no matter what..So I give a wrong no. or tell them I don't have a phone yet...Or just say I don't give my number out to strangers...If they say that they're not a stranger. Then u say I don't think a dance we share makes u my friend...Good luck..

Give them the wrong number, or just say sorry I am taken.
Easy, why do girls always have to be nice and not know what to do.

Tell him that you are a recovering alcoholic and dancing with random boys is how you keep from drinking. Immediately afterwards burst into tears.

He won't want your number anymore.

Give him the number to your favorite pizza place! At least you'll know he'll get a great meal out of it.

Work out a secret signal with one of your hot girlfriends. If you give her the signal, have her walk over to you and kiss you passionately in front of the guy.

Then tell him, "Sorry Charlie."

This way...everybody wins.
