what does it mean because i`m in the library and whenever i try to look it up the internet explorer just automaticly disappears.

From what I can remember, Hemisphere means "half sphere" or "half ball." The world is divided into hemispheres, North and South as well as West and East, but a more general definition would relate to the equal halves of a sphere.

I don't know what you're looking for specifically, but that's the best I can do with what you asked...

Hemisphere literally means "half sphere." For instance, the world is divided into Northern Hemisphere and Northern Hemisphere. I'm not sure that you can say that there is a western and eastern hemisphere because the US could be the eastern hemisphere of Europe, but Europe is the eastern hemisphere to the US. Idk.

"Hemi" means half and "sphere" means circle, so "hemisphere" means half circle. Think about it: You have Northern and Southern hemispheres and Eastern and Western hemispheres.
