This is very common. They do it because they like it. Disgusting I know. One way that you can try to stop this is to put some Adolf's meat tenderizer on her food. If you feed dry dog food just spray a little bit of water on the food and then sprinkle the Adolf's on top of it. Believe it or not but this makes it taste nasty to the dog. lol As if it isn't already nasty. Good luck.

It could be a manner of things, ranging from boredom, to being hungry. If you are giving her tinned food that smells quite strong then the smell could come out in her poo and still smell quite tasty! So try and feed her a blander diet or changing her onto dry food. She could also be suffering from malabsorption, which is where the dog does not digest the food properly, so its best to get her checked out with the vet. Also make sure you are not giving her any attention when she is eating the poo because she could be doing it for attention purposes. I have heard the feeding pineapple does work, as it smells horrible when it comes out!! Good Luck!

there are so many diffrent dog food .and sometimes we give the wrong ones to our pets.ie .to rich in vitamins.iron.ect ,some foods are for working dogs.some we can give our dogs if over weight.its a matter of finding the right one for our pets.go to a good vets and am sure they will help you. you must pick up the poo right away as well .if you see your dog aboat to eat the poo say no may be have a bottle of water you can spray at the same time you say no!

Its actually very rare for a dog to eat its own poo or poo in general! It's normally beacuse it's territorial and picks up other dogs poo to get rid of their trail filthy things! Mustard (hot) in the pooh disgusting job but your dog wont touch it again

its a common dog thing i'm afraid, put pineapple juice or chunks in her food and she will stop eating her own, bit of a problem if she's eating other dogs poo though.

Could be a need for more nutrients in her diet. Keep her leashed & dont give her access to the poo!!!!!

Sometimes humans eat poo in extreme vitamin deficiency. Maybe you should see the vet.

Lots of puppies do this. Lace her poo with tabasco sauce and she'll stop. They also have products you can put in their food to make them not want to eat their poops

All you can do it clear it up as soon as you can before she gets to it.
Our dogs have done this too, it's common.
