Approximately $100.00 per child, including new sneakers, two outfits, and new socks & underwear. I shop for items on sale/clearance year round, and put clothes away for my kids to grow into. This saves me a bunch of money when it comes to Christmas & Back To School - the two times of the year where kids are expected to have at least a couple of new outfits.

The most I spent on sneakers was $39.99 for a pair of Nike Shox for each of my 12 year old twins. Since these shoes normally go for twice that price, I not only got a great deal on a trendy item - but they are also a higher quality shoe that will cushion their joints from the high impact sports that they participate in.

Not much...about $50 or so. However, now that the weather is changing, it's time to go shopping. I never understand why parents to heavy-duty back to school shopping in Aug. when in a month and a half, the weather changes.

I'm frugal when it comes to my daughter's shoes...i bought a pair of shoes from Target for 10.00, but I will go and get some good quality shoes soon, but will try not to spend over $40.

I actually only boaught my kids some socks and underwear that's it we couldn't afford anything more than that after the regular school supplies. their other cloths fit them fine. I saw no need for "NEW" clothes just for school. maybe I am a big cheapskate, but they get along just fine, with the things I find here and there in second hand shops.

most expensive pair of sneakers were 20bucks for a 90 dolllar pair in a second hand shop brand new:)

I only spent about $30 on my son. How did I do that? Well, I don't feel that my son needs name brand high dollar clothes that he is just going to get stains on, rip, and wear out. I buy from Walmart and Target alot, and I shop the clearance racks at the clothing stores I go to.

The most expensive shoes? $15.00. My son tears shoes up too quick.

Not much. I bought the clothes last year when the end of the season was and paid the clearance prices for the next years clothes. I just bought summer shirts for 1 to 2 dollars on clearance instead of the 6 dollars they wanted.

It's all about timing.

The most expensive item has been my sons tennis shoes, they were on sale for $39.00. I buy his school uniforms from a uniform store I'm glad I only have one to buy for. I feel for parents who have to buy for 4 kids.
