I have one distinct memory from when I was two years old. We were a large, poor family and had two bedrooms, plus my parents used half of our large livingroom as their bedroom, and I was still sleeping in a large crib when I was two . The memory is of an Aunt & Uncle coming to visit us and I was standing in the crib watching them walk down the hall and enter the livingroom / bedroom where I was. I have a great long term memory and could write a book of my memories (including a few exact conversations which took place) between the ages of three and five. But of all THOSE memories, the two which really stand out are that I had to share a queen sized bed with my older brother when I was four and five and he is eleven years older than I, and in the winter when he would roll over, he took the blankets with him, and I had to lie there freezing my fanny off. And also when I was five, my two responsibilities were to take out the garbage, and I had to get up first and refill our pot-bellied stove with coal and empty the ashes from the night, so everyone else could wake up to a warm, cozy house. And filling the coal bucket and dragging, pushing and carrying it from the coal cellar wasn't easy for a five year old, either. Of course, today I laugh at those childhood memories, but they weren't very pleasant experiences at the time.

I personally have full memories from the age of three, possibly earlier. Most of them are combined with different scents. For instance, one memory involves a babysitter who lived next door to a bakery. I remember the smell of bread, her dog, and other vivid memories from that time. According to my mother, that babysitter watched me from the ages of 2-3. I also remember being stuck by a diaper pin when I was younger, and seeing my grandmother rub my leg to stop the pain. At least it was something sharp that stuck me while being changed, so I assume it was a pin. I was supposedly potty trained before 3, so I had to have been younger than that.

About the age of three or a little before that. My first memory is of being in my aunts house, sitting on her sofa which had a soft and fuzzy feel to it, I can almost exactly remember the design that was on the sofa. I know that I was either two or three years old because my aunt who owned the house and sofa died when I was only three.

Long term memory typically begins at the age of three. I believe that I remember back to a little before that.

Sometimes I have short little flashbacks of certain things, but not really anything in particular. One thing that I remember is being really little and sitting on the bathroom counter in a dress while my mom was putting my shoes on me. We were going to go get professional pictures taken. But I was only 2 or 3 years old at the time.

I remember when I was young I used to get beat up at school alot. I never really knew why but people just seemed not to like me very much. I once asked a girl to an 8th grade dance and she stabbed me in the stomach with a pencil. It really hurt my feelings.

it's hard for me to differentiate age.. in all my memories i am a 'big person'. i don't think i ever viewed myself as a child. guess i have a ego problem. i definitely remember kindergarten and before though. so... post birth... pre kindergarten range.

I remember my 3rd birthday. I lived in a rural town and took the bus with my mom to the BIG city. It was in February and snow was as high as me. My Memere' (Grandmother) brought me into a pet store and bought me a little turtle in a plastic pond with a plastic palm tree. Never forgot that day!
