Flat beer (let the open can of beer stand overnight) is an old time way to 'set' your hair and it also makes it nice and shiny.
We use to use that to get our hair to shine and stay in the style we had at the time. That was waaaay back when"-)

I have heard that it is. I never tried it because I did not want to smell like beer when and if I left the house. I don't know in what way it is good for the hair.

Yes, it works marvels on how your hair looks. But, for it to work, you should apply it to the people looking at your hair :-)

No it is not unless you want your hair smelling like alcohol. That can lead to confusion and confusion can lead to arguring.
