I prefer area rugs over wall-to-wall carpet. Carpets trap dirt below the surface which vacuuming doesn't get out completely -- they're horrible for allergies and a definite no-no if you have pets. I won't even mention the mess that a spilled juice creates! Although rugs have the same problems, they are so much less expensive so you can just replace them after a while and you can even buy small ones which you can toss into the washing machine every so often. The only great thing about carpet is how warm they are on bare feet.

If you are asking do we like carpet in a bedroom. My answer is yes. I like not getting out of bed and stepping on a cold floor.
If you are asking if we like our current bedroom carpet... the answer is NO. It's way to old and desperately needs replacing.

No! My bedroom has beige berber in it and I hate it. To me a bedroom should have plush carpeting. I can't wait to replace it with a soft, plushy (maybe lavendar) carpet!

No, I hate it!
But then we haven't decorated our bedroom since we moved in - in 1999!
However, I have high hopes for THIS year.

No its disgusting. It was here when I moved in and I havent got round to changing it yet.
It must be about 20 years old and each time I hoover a bit more comes apart!
