See one of my friends has been single for a long time the problem is that she's a year older than me and most of my friends are younger than her she's also annoyed easily and can't stand guys who are stupid or wimpy or perverted or anything like that. Her standards are quite high and its going to be hard for me to find someone for her I can tell she really wants to get back into the dating game. I have a few ideas on how she could get a boyfriend but Im personally never used them and am not sure if she would even be willing to try them.

Like if we go to the mall, and see a cute guy, we could write him a note and try to get him to come over.

Or something like that. The problem is, she just expects a guy to come right on over and start a conversation and flirt, but I know that thinking like that is delusional. How can I get her to let her guard down and just talk to a guy, or is there a way we can get one to talk to her? Any ideas?

You can't.

Sooner or later she'll figure out the scoop on getting a guy.
Meantime just be supportive and encouraging.

Tell her that if she EVER wants to meet ANYONE she needs to loosen up a bit, maybe one of those so called "annoying guys" could grow on her. And she needs to stop expecting every guy she finds attractive to come up to her. If she is honestly attracted to guy she should make the first move. Life is NOT about just waiting around and having every thing handed to you, you have to take risks to get what you want!!

go, walk over to a guy and tell him that she's feeling him, he'll either think its a joke a scuff it off, or walk over, but starting a conversation out of nowhere with a stranger, hard. i have problems trying to flirt with girls i already know.

Introduce me to her. I'll get her to let her guard down. I'm not trying to get with her, I'd just like to see what kind of person she really is.

If you see someone you like, say hello or ask directions ... Do you know where the ... is? Oh! Thanks! Have I seen you before ... you really look familiar for some reason. Do you work here or are you just shopping? And away we go. If it turns out you don't like his high squeaky voice, just say thanks and walk away. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Oh! I think I know who you are. Do you know ...?
