Have your sister bring the dog to the vet, not only will they get rid of the flea's, but they will also do a physical to make sure the puppy does not have an infection or is sick due to all the fleas that were once alive on the dog. You could give the dog a bath yourself, but you want to make sure there is not something going on internally, that may cause problems later in its life.

You can use Revolution on your sisters puppy. Take the dog and a poop sample to your vet. You need to get the puppy examined to make sure that no diseases were transferred from the fleas, and that your puppy didn't get tapeworms from the dog. Go to this website: http://www.revolution4dogs.com/content.asp?country=US&lang=EN&drug=RV&species=CN&sec=180
It will tell you all the great things revolution does for your dog, and it can be used on puppies 6 weeks and older, and if the puppy is 2 months, that makes it 8 weeks old. Most flea products are approved for 8 weeks and older these days. Over the counter flea products, from pet stores/groceries, aren't very good, and can cause more harm than good. Your vet or local groomer can get rid of any dead fleas still attached to your puppy for you. If you choose to bathe the puppy at home, make sure you rinse everything out entirely, regardless of whether its dog shampoo, dawn, or flea shampoo.

Long hair or short hair?

1. Get a flea comb and comb her
2. Get her to a groomer (or do it yourself) for a flea bath
3. Use a flea repellent like Advantix or something. Usually just a drop between the shoulder blades.

Is this an indoor or outdoor dog? If outdoor this will need to be a regular routine.

Give her a bath in flea shampoo. As you rinse her off the fleas will start dropping off. When she is dry take her outside and brush her coat and more will fall off. Before you know it she will be rid of all the varmint's

I think you should talk to your sister about this problem. It is of course her dog and she is responsible for it. Firmly tell your sister that you want the dog taken care of or you dont want to be in the presence of the dog. Baths are always good for fleas! :)

Use Dawns dish detergent. You'll be suprised how it will work. Just soap the dog in it real well and then rinse all the soap off. It will not harm the dog. Good Luck.

Either take the puppy to a vet and let them handle the problem or try to pull them out with tweezers but don't squeeze them so hard that you squish them.
