Good post! There is never a simple answer to national questions/problems such as the mass influx of illegal immigrants (mostly from Mexico; 80% of all illegals) and the ensuing economic and cultural problems that ensue.
Not only must we build the border fence/tecno thangy but we must sanction employers who hire illegals, enforce or standardize laws so that local police can hold for deportation any illegals caught for minor or major infractions (after all they are criminals!) and start to hunt down those who do not leave our country voluntarily when given the chance. If they are caught after a general order to exit, no questions asked; they should do a stint of hard labor for 6 months (cleaning up the Sonora desert, our national parks, building/maintaining the border wall/fence and then be deported never to be allowed legal admission or legalization, citizenship privileges.
In fairness to all, a legal work program should be created that allows for immigrants to be here LEGALLY to work and to work only. No anchor babies, no families no in-laws. They are here to work and as much as is possible, employers should be responsible for their health care and liability insurance should they do ill.
Enough is enough! Illegals go back where you came from and if you want to come to the USA ...do so LEGALLY and obey our laws.
Legal immigration is a good thing and we should/do promote it. It is America.
Illegal immigration cannot be allowed and should be eliminated as much as possible.
The small numbers you report are well and good but they are not near enough. Let's all hope they are gearing up for some more success in this endeavor.

Thank you ,I love it when the numbers talk deportation !
I am also waiting to see if all the BS the politicians are spouting now will equate to action after the mid term elections. They are talking the talk ,lets hope they walk the walk.I personally will not vote for any one that doesn't have a strong stand against the illegals and their policy must not contain a provision for blanket amnesty for the illegal criminals.

I believe that our government has begun to wonder what that noise is coming from the undercarriage of the ride they are on. Time to grease a squeeky wheel.
Americans all across the nation are having an effect on this issue, keep up the pressure!

The tide is turning. Now if all towns in the US would adopt the Hazelton, Pennsylvania philosophy, we should see a mass exodus which would save us billions in deportation costs.
JuanCarlos pretty much covered it, as well....
Thank you for the information!
Keep on keeping us on top of the latest!

It's a start, but 1 gallon from 8 gallons still leaves 7 gallons...the sooner the border fence is finished, the sooner we'll see a real turnaround...

Left to his own devices, Bush chose not to enforce. I don't think it is the elections driving this, I think it is his desire for a guest worker program. I think he will increase enforcement to persuade us that despite his history, laws will be enforced going forward. I think there needs to be teeth to make enforcement continue to occur, be it citizen suit provisions, or required reimbursements to school districts for education of children of illegals who get through, or whatever, before I believe he or his successors will keep this up.
