My boyfriend asked me to go with him 2 the football game on Friday ,but I said no because I wanted to go to a school dance. I asked him to go with me to the dance ,but he said no.So i'm going to the dance alone with my friends and he's going to the football game.Then, he said if I wanted to go with him on Saturday to the mall ,but I got a Cross Country meet ,but I haven't told him and he said "you better go to the mall" and the coach asked me that I have to go becuase i'm her best runner.What should I do? Where should I go?

He can not put his wants in front of your commitments. He has no right to even try that crap. He's trying early on to manipulate you through guilt. Do not allow this. It will cause you great harm,and resentment in the future if you do.

here's the bottom line,

your relationship will not go on if one of you doesn't quit saying no to the other, THe next time that he asks you to do ANYTHING just say yes,

was the dance right after the football game, I remeber they were when i was high school in oregon.

how about this say well i do have a cross country meet that day, but say you"ll do anything anytime, even later that day, after your cross country meet

Tell him u have a meet that day. If he can't understand ur busy then he isn't the one for u. There will always be times where u can not spend as much time with each other as you'd like, but in relationship it's expected

Go to your meet. Let him know you have an obligation and go to the mall after wards or Sunday. He should understand because hopefully he wouldn't expect you to make him miss out on something that is important to him. Good luck
