Yahoo! says report abuse, and when I first got on I saw that and so I told them that my wife had locked me in the basement and was feeding me canteloup cut into tiny squares with a plastic fork on the side, and they acted like they didn't even care. I had a computer down there and was telling them about my captivity.

Come to find out, what they are looking for is silly abuse. Months later I've been reported for stuff I didn't even know I did. I can't even count all the Abuse Notifications I received, and for what?
Just the other day they charged me in Yahoo! Abuse Court with making an answer that they said was not an answer.

Found a thing in my email saying my answer had been selected as Best Answer; and going to look at it, I discovered the question had been removed by Yahoo! because supposedly there was abuse in the question, in other words I didn't get my ten points cause of abuse committed by someone else.

Why not just let "abuse" happen and not worry about it?

Because children use this site along with adults. Also many adults don't want to see all the abuse going on here. Rules make things more fun for almost everyone.

I agree - I was once 'charged' for answering a question that supposedly was not an answer... sheesh.. I have seen some answers on there and questions that are vile, loads of swearing etc.. and it is kept on! I wish I could just go into the building where these Yahoo Answer personnel work, and see how they choose - by dice? or rock paper scissor strategy? or they close their eyes, and point to any member on the screen and whammo.. someone gets charged for no reason.

Do we need the abuse button? I suppose, so someone in Yahoo Land can get paid.

I asked a simple question about CD's, COMPACT DISCS, and they took my question down and said it was inappropriate, what was so wrong with discussing compact discs? And when I asked about it through Customer Service I was NEVER giving a real answer, just some bs that I could not understand, it was really stupid. But yeah, silly abuse is what this site feeds on. LOL

If it's criminal abuse you need to email the police , not yahoo answers.

There has to be some way to keep the nasty perverted questions I see off of here.
Those people ruin it for everybody.
