maybe it's because parents don't want there kids to know
EXACTLY how babies get here. Think about it... if we knew from the time we were little, our parents would never get any "alone time" b/c we would always be busting in going "stop having sex, mommy and daddy, I don't want a new brother or sister."
Or it could be like, "Mommy, daddy, you need to go have sex. I want a new little bor or sis."
Think about that for a Min.
but on the other hand, some parents DO tell there kids there whole life. Do you really think that it would have help knowing what you're parents were doing every night?
Personally, I wouldn't (and still don't) want to know.

I never use the "stork theory", I have been very open and honest about the facts of life. I feel that if I tell my children the truth in the questions they ask, they will come to me and not others. I don't get all mad and make little words up because I want them to trust me and my advice that I give them.

I try to be completely honest with my kids although the oldest is only 3 1/2. But I hope to keep an open relationship with them so they won't be afraid to come to me for anything. And I don't want them going elsewhere for answers, and getting in trouble or getting the wrong answers, like I did. I guess some parents are just afraid or uncomfortable with some things and they don't know how to explain or which and how much information is appropriate. If you aren't getting answers from your parents to questions you have, be sure to ask another trusted adult. Don't go looking for answers from friends or the internet or anywhere else!

I believe in telling the truth, but I also believe in telling a child only what they can handle. Start of telling that babies come from their mommies tummies and if then answer the questions as they come. The child will stop asking questions when they have the information that they want.
Of Course having said all of that I also believe in spelling words correctly, for example I believe that the word your should have a y and o in it. I also believe that when using the letter i as a word referring to yourself it should be an "I". I also believe in using the spell check that Yahoo has so nicely provided.
But that is just what I believe.

Parents do that b/c at certain ages children can't really comprehend what really goes in to bringing human life in the world. They need to keep their minds as close to pure as they can. They have the rest of their life to learn about sex, why speed it up. When a parent feels that their child is mature enough, the should talk about it.

A 3 year old and a 11 year old can handle and process thoughts differently. Unless you have a child and have been put in that positiion then you really have nothing to coment on.
