I have 2 children...don't worry!!
I had a cesarean for the 1st.
Everyone has a different pain level.I just had gas and air with the 2nd ,although I'm not saying it doesn't hurt.
I'd rather have a natural birth ,you recover quicker..!!!
But you forget it all when you have you're child in you're arms....it's worth it !!!

I won't lie. It is bad. That said, I still want more kids. It's painful, but it's not forever. You forget the pain and it's over in an instant after the birth. I had the epidural but still felt the whole thing. I went 12 hours before getting the epidural, and I didn't find the labour that bad.. kind of like bad cramps. The actual pushing baby out (while head coming out) was the worst part. Think "ring of fire". But hey, I survived a 30 hour labour with 2 hours of pushing... so if I'm willing to go through that again, as are so many women who have more than one child... then it should show you that it's all worth it. Cause it is!

Child birth really isn't that bad. I've done it twice. Once "naturally", once as a c-section. Yes it is painful, but with the advancement of pain killers, it is manageable. I had an epidural both times. If this tells you something, I took a nap when in labor with my daughter. I felt no pain. The next day I could walk fine too. I was a little stiff, but it's like how you feel after you do aerobics for the first time. there's some discomfort, but it's not life altering pain. C- section is a little different the next day. Your stomach hurts, but again the pain killers make it OK too. I had to take them for a few days and then I was fine. Either way, what you get out of it is SOOOOO worth it. I love my kids and would do it all over again. I only had 2 because of financial reasons. Other wise I would have had a few more. Really, it's not that bad.
But for whatever reason. if/when you do become pregnant, people want to share their "horror" stories. I don't know why people do this, (my mother told me horror stories too) just ignore them. If it was that bad, the human species would have died out long ago. As for your mom. Again if it was that bad, why did she have more than one?

You know thats a hard question because yes I've had 3 kids and the pain I felt I don't even re,member because what you get out of it is totally worth it. Kids are a blessing from God and if you are lucky enough to be able to have them I say only with the right person and don't try to do it yourself. I know alot of single Moms (I'm one myself) but children are better off with two adults raising them. Thats just my opinion though. Anyway I too was afraid of child birth but in the long run I wouldn't trade my children for nothing in this world. You feel so much Love the second they are born, it's undescribable. I hope this helpped a little bit.

If you really want kids then you could have an elective caesarean. Failing that adopt.
It seems like these women are trying to spread their scare stories onto you - it's up to you whether to accept them or not. Labour is different for every pregnant woman.
It doesn't worry me, it's the fact that I'll be labelled as a single mother and a scrounger. Some people can be so shallow these days.

I was 19 when i had my son, and now I'm 27, i have not forgot how pain full it was.
No pain relief worked, i was 10 days late and it just seemed like he was not coming out,
in the end the doctor who looked like George clooney walked in and said he was there to help deliver my baby,
well i nearly died..
my legs were strapped up with my bum hanging over the bed...
and all i could think of was that george clooney was going to deliver my baby and he could see my....... well you know what i mean....
i started crying and didnt know where to look...
even my mum was eyeing up the clooney look alike...
it was so horrible...
next time i have a baby
i want an ugly doctor.........

Don't be worried about childbirth. A woman's body is designed for having children. Any woman who says things that are frightening are really trying to scare you. Women have been having babies for quite a while now!! I've had 5 and the first one tickled like he**! The midwife was gobsmacked!!

i wont say it was fun but its bearable. i had so many problems during my pregnancy that i had to be induced a month early, so i was only in labour for 5 hours. the most painful part was getting cut with scissors and stitched back together as i could feel everything, but dont worry everyones different
