This site seems bent on pointing out insensitivities and perceived/real hurts. I cannot understand this. Is this really the best we can do?

Our world is a mess and its up to us to do something to make it better. US! We can't even have a civil discussion on an Internet open forum!

I would like to suggest a two pronged approach:

1) Please be very very careful in how you word your questions and check your own intentions. Please, intend no injury.

2) Please be very very thick skinned when you read these questions. Grace. It's an important Christian word that non-Christians understand too, believe me. If you feel insulted, let it roll off..."sticks and stones"....remember, we learned this in grade school.

Peace and Love to you.

PS Devlsadvocate is right...a sense of humor is a good thing. Laughter washes your body in good hormones.

How do you know that the people being "less sensitive" are the ones posting the "make fun of God jokes"? Besides, yours was a statement, not a joke. Same as the statements you make about Muslims offend them. You need to relax a little Golden Truth Teller, and take everything that is said to you with a grain of salt. The reason people can't stand you and think you are a hateful intolerant hypocrite is because you come off that way. Tact. Learn how to use it.

"i post my ape jokes on here and they just can't stand me"

Jokes are funny. Your comments are far from funny, they usually just make me sad that people can be that ignorant about things. People have explained things to you and it's like you purposefully refuse to learn new things.

"i'm a hateful intolerant hypocrite some of you say?"
Yup. Here's an example of one of your other questions that makes me shake my head and wonder what god of hate you worship.
"When Jesus said 'Give to the poor,' do you think He meant give to the lazy who can't hold a job?"
That's just one example. Christians should emulate Christ, not question His words (that is, if your a true Christian)
You also tend to ask questions about why there are still monkeys around. People give you links and try to teach you about common ancestery and then you ask again and again. Why you choose to remain uneducated is beyond me. If you disagree then fine but stop posting the same question reworded like no ones ever answered you.

"Oh well. if you can't take a joke about your Godless beliefs STOP MAKING JOKES ABOUT RELIGION"
1. I am not Atheist. Just because I don't believe in your god (who apparently condones judgement unto others so I have no idea which God you pray to) doesn't mean I am godless.

2. The only religion I make jokes about is my own. If I make one about another religion, it's because the joke is FUNNY. Your jokes are little more than thinly veiled insults and honestly, I think you know that.

"THX!!!!!!!! :o}"

ur wlcme :-)

Personally I love a good atheist joke. I've read some here that were very funny. By the way, I'll check out your ape jokes right now and I'll let you know if I think they're funny.
Edit: Well, I've watched you jokes and I must say: they're quite humorless. I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve. But Hey why would you care anyway? As it says in your profile: if god is with us who can be against us? So what is your problem, when you're sooooooo sure of your god being on your side?

Classic bullying personality. Insatiable need to belittle and scorn using name-calling, generalization, ignorance and spite. Incapable of accepting responsibility for her own behaviour, will constantly try to pass off own failings as someone else's fault. Feels least insecure when throwing stones from a safe distance. Projects her own insecurities onto others and holds them up to ridicule. Perceives her own sense of injury as greater than anything she can inflict on anyone else, and complains bitterly whenever she faces a response which hits a nerve. Regards herself as deeply, deeply injured by any unanswerable response to her aggressive questioning. Falsely attributes to others the characteristics, misdemeanours and failings she herself exhibits, of which the above is a case in point. Religious bullies are especially pathetic, because they think they have the ultimate "I'll get my Dad on you!" option if things get difficult for them.

I hope this isn't regarded as one of those jokes you don't like. It's not. I don't make "fun of God jokes". And you realize that almost any response you can make to this (apart from crawling back under your rock and evolving for a couple of million years) stands a very good chance of proving my point? Thought it best to warn you.

I have seen you many times on these boards stirring trouble, and being insensitive in general. I have also noticed you are usually one of the first ones to whine when you feel attacked.
Just my observation.

There is a difference between being funny and being a hateful moron.

Learn the difference.

Oh, and if you can post something funny about agnostics or atheists, I'll probably be the first to enjoy it.

when you stop making fun about other religions maybe you can set an example for others. but you dont practice what you preach.
why do you expect others to do so with you?

still prove my point don't you?

Well, I guess we could TRY to be a little less sensitive, if that's what you'd like us to do. Up until now, though, we've been trying to take it easy on you.
