I recommend taking your dog to the vet for a skin scraping. There are several types of mites, even ringworm, that can cause this problem. If that shows up negative for parasites, then I recommend blood work, as several diseases can cause balding. Particularly in the locations you mentioned.

I would take her to the vet. You could try vit. E capsules and break them open and rub in on the bald spot. She could just have dry skin. My neighbors min. pincher had this happen to her and she used the vit.E and the dogs hair has all came back in and she is doing great. If you don't have the $ to go to a vet this is the next best thing to try. But, please try to take your chi. to the vet.
